Add one unexpected quality that does not cancel the archetype. A fearless pilot may be terrible at casual conversation. A serious student council president may secretly design ridiculous board games. These contrasts create lighter scenes between major plot events.
Write three world rules
Worldbuilding can overwhelm the character profile. Start with only three rules that directly affect choices. In a magic academy, the rules might explain who can use magic, what it costs and which spell is forbidden. In a futuristic city, define who controls technology, what ordinary people fear and what event is about to disrupt daily life.
Keep names limited. Introducing ten factions, schools and power systems in the first prompt makes continuity harder. Add a new term when it becomes relevant, and explain it through action rather than a long encyclopedia entry.
Define the character’s role and voice
Give the character a job in the story: guide, rival, partner, investigator, captain or reluctant ally. The role should create reasons to make decisions. Then describe how they speak. Anime-inspired dialogue can be expressive, but constant shouting or exaggerated catchphrases quickly becomes repetitive.
Choose one verbal habit and one emotional pattern. Perhaps the character explains dangerous situations calmly but becomes flustered by sincere praise. Maybe they hide concern inside competitive challenges. Describe behavior the AI can demonstrate instead of relying only on genre labels.
Open on the first frame of an episode
Imagine the first visible shot. Where are the characters, what has changed and what decision cannot be postponed? Start there. Avoid opening with a summary of the entire world. The character can reveal background naturally while dealing with the present event.
The scene creates mystery, relationship and a visual detail. It invites the companion to react without dictating the solution.
Use episode structure for longer roleplay
Break a long anime AI chat into short arcs. Give each “episode” a goal, obstacle and closing change. One episode might involve preparing for a festival, another investigating a missing object, and another dealing with what the characters learned. Recap the current location and goal when beginning a new session.
Use time jumps deliberately. State what happened between scenes and what question remains unanswered. This keeps momentum without narrating every ordinary minute.
